With the summer swimming season in full swing, many clubs and schools are probably looking to upgrade their old timing systems. Here at Wylas Timing we have developed a list of grants available nationally and in each state for your convenience. All grants below are still open and are accessible for facility upgrades and equipments purchases. Check out the links below to get your grants in and get yourself a new timing system for the 2016 season.

NATIONAL GRANTS:

Holden Home Ground Advantage

Grant Overview:

This program aims to provide financial assistance to local sporting clubs and community organisations to invest in and develop their clubrooms, sporting grounds and general facilities.

Funding Amount:

This program is available biannually. Applications must be submitted by 5pm (AEDT) on 29 February 2016.

Program Name:

Sporting Schools – Program Delivery Grant

Grant Overview:

This program aims to assist registered schools with the delivery of endorsed national sporting organisation programmes including coaches, supervision, equipment, facilities and transport costs. It also supports schools to access sport-based professional development for teachers.

Funding Amount:

$1,300 – $3,100

QUEENSLAND:

Program Name:

Get in the Game – Get Going Grants

Grant Overview:

This program aims to support not-for-profit local sport and recreation organisations to create and provide access to participation opportunities for Queenslanders.

The three funding categories are:

– Participation projects

– Education and training

– Equipment

Grants of up to $7,500 (GST exclusive) are available. The total project cost can exceed $7,500 however the organisation is responsible for financing any amount over $7,500 through other sources.

Program Name:

Ballone Shire Council – Sports Incentive Scheme

Grant Overview:

This program seeks to provide funding to encourage the development of local sporting organisations and facilities as well as encourage effective local fundraising.

Program Name:

Gambling Community Benefit Fund

Grant Overview:

The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) Community Benefit Funds Unit (CBFU) distributes revenue from gaming taxes to various not-for-profit community groups throughout Queensland.

Funding Amount:

Min: $500  – Max: $35,000

NEW SOUTH WALES:

Program Name:

Local Sport Grant Program

Grant Overview:

This program aims to assist the people of NSW participate in sport and active recreation.

Its objectives are to:

– Increase regular and on-going participation in sport or structured physical activity.

– Address barriers to participation in sport or structured physical activity.

– Assist sport clubs provide quality service to their members.

Grants are available to four project types:

1. Sport club development: Funding is between $250 and $2,000.

2. Community Sport Events: Funding is between $250 and $5,000.

3. Sport Access: Funding is between $250 and $5,000.

4. Facility development and capital equipment: Funding is between $1,000 and $25,000.

Sporting Club Grants Program

Grant Overview:

This program aims to assist in the purchase of sports uniforms and equipment and to improve the capacity and accessibility of Victorian clubs and other community sport and recreation organisations and increase the skills of their coaches, officials and managers. It provides settings for social interaction, sharing common interests, achieving personal bests and community inclusion.
