Wylas Timing’s release 1.8.4 comes with a host of new bug fixes and new release items.
The most prominent feature for anyone handling a Wylas Timekeeper during meets, will notice the athletes name now shows on the timekeepers display. This allows athletes to easily be identified and allows timekeepers to congratulate athletes as they hop out of the pool. Alongside the athlete name inclusion, you can now specify one watch as the Chief Timekeeper. This watch records a time against no lane, but is sent to Recorder and can be used as an extra time for whatever lane the chief timekeeper deems is appropriate.
On the Recorder front, the new updates provides a faster initialisation of the selected meet and meets are now sorted from newest to oldest. We have also allowed for a larger amount of information to be retrieved from Meet manager in the new update.
You must update the Wylas Display on the HDMI adapter with this release or the athletes names won’t be populated correctly when a race is marshalled. You can navigate on the TV by plugging a msource into the USB port of the HDMI adapter. Start the Wylas DIsplay app while the Recorder is running and when prompted download and install the update, the reopen the Wylas DIsplay app.
